“Ghostbusters” video game slated for June release

A video game featuring a new “Ghostbusters” story is slated to be released by Atari on June 16 in North America with a worldwide release on June 19.

The video game is a tie-in to the 25th anniversary of the “Ghostbusters” movie. The game is also a precursor to the announced “Ghostbusters 3″ movie, which has a scheduled 2010 release date, according to the Internet Movie Database. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky wrote the screenplay for the planned third installment in the popular franchise.

Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wrote the scripts for “Ghostbusters,” and “Ghostbusters II,”  and provided the story for the new video game. …continue reading “Ghostbusters” video game slated for June release

“Easy Rider” and “Ghostbusters” cinematographer honored

Laszlo Kovacs, the cinematographer on such hits as “Easy Rider” and “Ghostbusters” worked on one last film before his death in July 2007, but his work is still continuing to be honored with that last film winning First Prize at the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival.

Kovacs worked as director of photography on the historical documentary, “Torn from the Flag: A Film by Klaudia Kovacs.” Laszlo Kovacs and Klaudia Kovacs are not related.

Completed in 2007 Klaudia Kovacs’ independent sociopolitical historical film “Torn from the Flag,” is about the international decline of communism and the significant global effects of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, according to a news release. …continue reading “Easy Rider” and “Ghostbusters” cinematographer honored
