Hellblinki Sextet rock out during zombie costume contest

Asheville, N.C. band, Hellblinki Sextet decked themselves out in zombie make-up on Saturday night as they rocked out during the zombie costume competition for the George A. Romero festival held in Charlotte, N.C. The show was held as part of the American Zombie event that’s being put on by the Light Factory and Reel Soul Cinema. The event continues on Sunday.
Saturday’s show, held at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte, also featured the Charlotte band, Drat, who dressed in zombie garb.
Saturday’s events for American Zombie were also held at the McGlohon Theatre, and included screenings of “Season of the Witch” and “Martin” with Q & A sessions with George A. Romero. Video footage taken by ModernFilmZine with Changing Elevations, Inc. camera man, Ryan Haggerty, will be posted on this site soon.
Jessica Sammis, 30, of Charlotte, N.C., was the winner of Saturday’s zombie costume contest. More photos, including Sammis’ winning costume, will be posted soon, but here are a few photos for now.
